Kyrgyz Community Comes Together to Celebrate World Breastfeeding Week

To commemorate World Breastfeeding Week 2016, SPRING staff in Kyrgyz Republic and community leaders in the town of Kara Kul, held a community gathering that connected local health workers and families to raise awareness around the multiple benefits of optimal breastfeeding practices, including exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months and continued breastfeeding to 2 years and beyond.

SPRING/Bangladesh Presents at the Policies against Hunger XII Conference

Germany’s Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) invited SPRING/Bangladesh to present on Farmer Nutrition Schools and its experience towards improved household nutrition at the Policies against Hunger XII conference. Hosted by BMEL, the conference took place from June 22-24, 2016, and brought together 350 high-level participants from across the globe to address key aspects of food security and nutrition.

SPRING and NHSDP Bring Healthcare to Most Vulnerable Doorsteps

SPRING has helped in bringing health care within reach for many families in Southern Bangladesh. Through its partnership with the USAID-DFID NGO Health Service Delivery Project (NHSDP), affectionately known as “Surjer Hashi”, SPRING is helping bring health care to the doorstep of remote rural communities. Through this partnership, health services that were previously inaccessible to these vulnerable rural communities have now been made accessible.
