SPRING/Haiti is committed to working across issues and sectors to scale up nutrition in Haiti. SPRING/Haiti is providing technical assistance to the Ministère de la Santé Publique et de la Population (MSPP) to unite stakeholders in a collective effort to improve nutrition in Haiti. In February 2014, SPRING/Haiti supported an MSPP-led meeting bringing together 42 nutrition partners from 17 institutions and organizations. The meeting focused on discussing a multisectoral strategy to reduce undernutrition in Haiti. Additionally, SPRING/Haiti is working with the MSPP to develop and maintain high level commitment to rolling out a national Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) strategic plan and framework based on the National strategic plan for nutrition. This strategic plan is comprehensive and will bring about working within line ministries and other stakeholders, establishing functional coordination structures, and ensuring active follow through on SUN-related commitments.
