SPRING’s work in Haiti provided technical leadership in the development and integration of a full range of nutrition interventions for HIV and AIDS prevention, care, and support services. SPRING/Haiti’s approach was grounded in the nutrition assessment, counseling, and support (NACS) framework, and included strengthening the capacity of facility-based providers to deliver NACS services using on-the-job training and quality improvement methods. SPRING/Haiti operated in 17 health facilities across all ten departments.

SPRING’s main partners in Haiti included the Ministère de la Santé Publique et de la Population (MSPP), CEPAM, HEALTHQUAL, the Nutrition Security Program, UNICEF, and the World Food Program. SPRING's work in Haiti ran from September 2012 to September 2015.

Map of HaitiLe travail de SPRING en Haïti a offert un leadership technique pour le développement et l’intégration d’une gamme entière d’interventions en nutrition liées à la prévention du VIH/SIDA, à l’obtention de soins et aux services de soutien. L’approche de SPRING/Haïti se fondait sur l’évaluation nutritionnelle, la consultation et le soutien (nutrition assessment, counseling, and support, ou NACS) et comprenait le renforcement des capacités des établissements fournisseurs de services NACS par le biais de formations sur le terrain et de méthodes d’amélioration de la qualité. SPRING/Haïti était opérationnel dans 12 établissements de santé situés dans 5 départements haïtiens : Centre, Nord, Nord-Est, Ouest et Artibonite.
