In Ghana, SPRING supported a Training of Trainers workshop to equip health workers from the Northern region of Ghana, including staff from facilities, midwives, community health nurses, and laboratory technicians, with knowledge and skills on anemia control activities. The workshop curriculum was a mix of didactic learning sessions and skills training related to clinical anemia assessment and counselling in the context of their roles in the health system. Participants had the opportunity to visit two health centers to apply their recently acquired knowledge to identify areas for improvement in anemia programming. At the close of the workshop, participants expressed confidence in their ability to carry out similar trainings on anemia within their districts.
