Experts from across several sectors are meeting this week in Bangkok at the Asia regional Multi-Sectoral Nutrition Strategy Global Learning & Evidence Exchange (MSN-GLEE) hosted by SPRING in partnership with USAID. This diverse group of USAID Mission staff, implementing partners, and academics will discuss multi-sectoral approaches to address malnutrition and plan for global action. The attendees represent programs in social and behavior change communications (SBCC), humanitarian response, agriculture, women’s empowerment, health, and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH). Their collaboration represents a new step in a forward-looking global nutrition strategy laid out in the USAID Multi-Sectoral Nutrition Strategy and technical guidance briefs.
This strategy forms the basis of an engaging agenda, with 23 sessions delving into several topics including multi-sectoral programming, best practices and success stories, scaling integrated programs, measurement and evaluation, and technical deep dives into experts’ respective sectors. Participants will use this learning to strengthen their programs and national efforts to address the new challenges of malnutrition and maternal and child health.
