To effectively address anemia, countries must develop a context-specific understanding of their anemia situation. SPRING developed “Understanding Anemia: Guidance for Conducting a Landscape Analysis” to provide step-by-step support for gathering and interpreting data on factors that contribute to anemia and existing strategies for anemia prevention and control. This resource helps policy makers and implementers form an understanding of their anemia situation—a necessary first step in determining which anemia efforts to prioritize.

SPRING shared this resource widely and received invaluable input from 34 experts across a wide variety of sectors. The guidance now incorporates their feedback to provide a comprehensive and up-to-date resource, available in an interactive online format and downloadable PDF version on SPRING’s webpage.
