The Use of Participatory, Community-led Videos in India: Pushing New Buttons for Nutrition, Livelihoods, and Agriculture

In September 2013, SPRING delegates will attend the IUNS 20th International Congress of Nutrition (ICN 2013)—one of the most prestigious international nutrition conferences that brings together more than 5,000 nutrition-related specialists—and highlight the work and results from SPRING’s global- and country-level portfolios through a Satellite Symposium, Parallel Symposium, and a number of short presentations.

On September 15th, SPRING will host a Satellite Symposium, Current Headlines in Maternal, Infant and Young Child Nutrition, where the latest developments on women’s nutrition and infant and young child feeding will be shared by a panel of experts. Following the panel presentations, scientists and program experts will facilitate an interactive series of 10 concurrent small group discussions on key technical and programmatic maternal, infant, and young child nutrition (MIYCN) themes.

On September 18th, SPRING will host a Parallel Symposium, Past and Current Experiences in Leveraging Multiple Program and Partner Platforms to Scale-Up Nutrition Interventions, designed to showcase lessons learned in implementing USAID-funded high-impact nutrition interventions at scale. This symposium will be chaired by USAID and feature presentations by country representatives from SPRING/Bangladesh, the Suaahara project in Nepal, and the ENGINE project in Ethiopia.

In addition to the symposia, SPRING will present its work and results during one oral presentation and twelve poster presentations.
