Thiane Dramé of Senala Keur Abdou village in Senegal's Thiaré District is a mother of seven and grandmother of four, who has become a tireless advocate for good nutrition in her community. As part of a SPRING-supported outreach campaign, she gave an interview with a local radio station to explain why she pushes her family and neighbors to install tippy-taps and plant household gardens to grow nutritious vegetables.
The SPRING community media strategy features monthly nutrition messages that are disseminated through community video screenings, local radio programs, market events, and other activities. By sharing through multiple platforms, messages are reinforced and audiences are encouraged to discuss and adopt the promoted practices.
