SPRING and Global Partners Harmonize Technical Support in Global Nutrition Budget Analysis

The 2014 Global Nutrition Report emphasized the need for sufficient financial resources for nutrition and pointed out the importance of countries being able to track nutrition funding. One year after, 30 countries were able to report on the preliminary estimates of national budget shares for nutrition in the 2015 Global Nutrition Report.

SPRING/Haiti NACS Meeting

SPRING/Haiti has played a key role in enhancing Nutrition Assessment, Counseling, and Support (NACS) leadership at the district and facility level. Last year, SPRING/Haiti participated in several meetings with the both national and international partners to track the health facilities’ progress in integrating NACS services into their current programs.

SPRING/Uganda Launch of the Great Mothers Healthy Children Community Campaign

SPRING/Uganda recently launched an innovative campaign called “Great Mothers, Healthy Children” in the Kisoro and Ntungamo districts of Southwest Uganda. The campaign contains video testimonials designed to influence the nutrition practices of mothers, fathers, and grandmothers of children ages 0-23 months, focusing on exclusive and continued breastfeeding, feeding a sick child, feeding a recovering child, and seeking medical care.
