Growing Together? Experiences of Intersectoral Integration in an NGO Nutrition Program

In a project that is undertaking both agriculture and nutrition actions, is there someone "in charge" of seeing both sides work towards a common goal? Does a manager go into the field to see if her staff are coordinating activities with one another? Do community workers from the health clinic talk with extension agents from the agricultural co-op? With billions of dollars pushing development workers to link agriculture and nutrition, how are we really designing and measuring "integration?"

Agriculture and Nutrition Program Integration in the Western Highland of Guatemala

SPRING hosted a fourth Agriculture and Nutrition Global Learning and Evidence Exchange (AgN-GLEE) on June 18, 2013. This program-driven event drew on learning that emerged from three regional AgN-GLEE workshops focused on strengthening and aligning current and new Feed the Future investments to achieve nutrition outcomes in Asia, Africa, and Latin America and the Caribbean.
