“Addressing anemia really is a multisectoral challenge,” remarked BethAnne Moskov, Deputy Director of the Office of Health, Infectious Diseases, and Nutrition in USAID’s Global Health Bureau in her opening speech to the participants of the Multisectoral Anemia Partners Meeting. Recognizing this challenge, and the need for a multisectoral approach, USAID created a Multisectoral Anemia Task Force Secretariat comprised of five partners: USAID, CORE Group, MCHIP, FANTA, and SPRING.

This study assessed the potential acceptance of locally manufactured complementary food products among caregivers of children aged 6-35 months in the Palestinian community. It gathered information on the feeding practices of infants and young children under three years of age and examined caregivers’ readiness and ability to access different locally-manufactured complementary foods. Surveyed mothers included women of different ages, with varying number of family members, age of children, educational background, family income, marital status, type of residence and employment status.
