Financing plays a critical role in any effort to sustainably improve nutrition at scale. In its Multi-Sectoral Nutrition Strategy, USAID asserts that political will for nutrition must be reflected through financial support, at both the national and sub-national levels.
SPRING, USAID's multi-sectoral nutrition project, hosted a workshop on our methodology and tool to track nutrition funding. A stronger understanding of the tool will help participants use the tool and better advocate for budget analysis among government representatives and funding agencies.
Participants who would benefit from this workshop and materials include those from USAID Missions, implementing partners, civil society, and government ministries (both national and sub-national). No prior experience in budget analysis is needed, but familiarity with nutrition terms and activities will be helpful.
