Learning Together: Nutrition-Sensitive Agriculture Training with KAWOLOR Project in Senegal

Over the course of two weeks, SPRING worked with KAWOLOR (prosperity and productivity in the Diola language) project staff to co-facilitate two trainings on nutrition-sensitive agriculture for new program staff in Kaffrine and Sedhiou, Senegal. Learn more about the SPRING Nutrition-Sensitive Agriculture Training resource package here.

SPRING Connects at the 2018 International Social and Behavior Change Communication Summit

In April 2018, over 1,000 social and behavior change communications (SBCC) experts gathered in Nusa Dua, Indonesia for the 2018 International Social and Behavior Change Communication Summit. Even before the summit began, SPRING had been highly engaged – supporting summit planning by leading the multimedia showcase subcommittee. For the conference itself, eight SPRING staff members traveled to Indonesia in order to showcase SPRING and USAID’s work in advancing high-impact SBCC interventions for nutrition.

Designing Effective Nutrition-Sensitive Agriculture Activities

This is Session Seven of seven that are included in the Nutrition-Sensitive Agriculture Training Resource Package.

This workshop provides guidance, recommendations, and ideas for individuals charged with training others on nutrition-sensitive agriculture. Unlike Sessions One through Six, Session Seven is a full workshop that can be conducted over 2-3 days after any of the preceding sessions, as needed. SPRING/Kyrgyz Republic and the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University Hold a Workshop on Nutrition-Sensitive Agriculture

On April 5-6, the USAID-funded SPRING project conducted a workshop together with the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University on understanding the linkages between agriculture and nutrition in the Kyrgyz Republic. Faculty from the Kyrgyz State Agrarian University and other nutrition and agriculture stakeholders – including representatives from World Food Programme, Food & Agriculture Organization, the Agriculture Productivity and Nutrition Improvement Project, and USAID’s Agro Horizon Project – attended the workshop.
